Last Saturday morning occurred the death of Mrs. Julia Hanson at her homeastead near New England, N.D., from a complication of heart and bowel troubles. The corpse accompanied by her son, Conrad, arrived here Tuesday noon. The funeral will take place at the West Moe Church where her husband, Wm Hanson lies buried.
Mrs. Hanson was born March 21st 1844 in Grue Prestgjeld Norway. They emigrated to America and on the 18th of Feb. 1867 married Wm. Hanson at Beloit, Wisconsin. From there they all struck out for the far west and in the spring of 1868 arrived at the home of George Botner's father in the town of Moe.
Mr. and Mrs. Hanson filed on a piece of land and went through all the hardships of pioneer life. There they lived until about twenty years ago, when Wm. Hanson died, and Mrs. Hanson, feeling that she could not manage the farm and take care of a large family of children at the same time, sold out and moved into Brandon where she lived a number of years. From here she went to Chicago where they lived a long while. She has lately been living at Hancock, Minnesota, but this spring she and her son Conrad went to New England, N.D. and took a homestead.
She leaves six boys all grown up men. Edward of Hancock, Minn., Alfred and William of Chicago, Conrad of New England, N.D., Franklin and Harry of Duluth, Minn.

The burial took place in the town of Moe yesterday, where she was laid to rest by the side of her husband, William Hanson [Hansen], who died many years ago.
The remains were carried to their last resting place by the six stalwart sons of the deceased who came from different states to pay their last tribute to a beloved mother.
They also prepared and decorated with wild flowers the grave. These sons were Edward, of Hancock, Minn. ; Alfred and William, of Chicago; Conrad, of North Dakota; Franklin, of Willmar, and Henry, of Duluth, The ceremony was performed by Rev. M. B. Juul.
Mrs. Julia Hanson was sixty-two years of age and was born in Norway, coming to America in 1866 and settling in Wisconsin.
