Mrs. Augusta J. Bohnenstiehl of 142 Springer avenue [Edwardsville] died Friday at 5:10 p.m. at St. Joseph hospital in Highland where she had been a patient for the past week.
She was born Sept. 29, 1881, in Pin Oak township and had attained the age of 66 years, nine months and 24 days. She was the daughter of the late William and Minnie Helmich. She was married to John T. Bohnenstiehl Feb. 8, 1904. His death occurred Dec. 31, 1947.
She is survived by one son, Cleo J. Bohnenstiehl of Pin Oak township, and two grandchildren, Kenneth and Cheryl Bohnenstiehl, four brothers, Fred Helmich of Collinsville, William of St. Louis, Charles, Pin Oak and Edward of Troy, and two sisters, Mrs. Anna Wetzel and Mrs. Sophia Schultze of Troy.
She was a member of Eden Evangelical church and the Women's guild committee 1.
The body may be viewed at the Marks-Weber funeral home after 7 o'clock this evening until 12 o'clock noon Monday when the body will be taken to the church to lie in state until 2 o'clock when services will be held with the Rev. H.J. Bredehoeft officiating.
Interment will be in Friedens cemetery at Troy.
