Former State Senator Fred S. Hollowell, 77, of 319 Main street, Penn Yan, a 20 year member of the New York State Legislature, died unexpectedly of a heart attack Tuesday morning. April 19, 1960, at the homestead farm in Milo.
On July 21, 1909 he was married to Eleanor Brundage, also of Milo. Mr. Hollowell served as principal of schools in Leicester, Heuvelton and Kingston. returning to the home farm in 1914, when his father's health began to fail.
Mr. Hollowell is survived by his wife, Mrs. Eleanor Hollowell; two sons, John of Milo Center and J. Lee of Cornwall-on-Hudson; a daughter Mrs. Janet Bradley of Williamsville; two sisters, Mrs. Roland Lerch of Henrietta and Mrs. Clarence Willet of Waterville, and 10 grandchildren.
