He was born on June 14, 1923 in the Township of Princeton, a son of the late William and Florentine (Dumdey) Golz. Armand married Adelia Reimann on July 22, 1945 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in the Township of Newton.
He proudly served his country from October 24, 1945 to August 3, 1946, in the United States Army during World War Two. Armand retired after 29 years at Alliance Laundry Systems in Ripon. He was a member of Speed Queen Retirees, American Legion Post 366 and St. John's Lutheran Church in Princeton.
He enjoyed gardening, gambling, bingo, playing cards and making wind chimes. He loved being with his family.
Armand is survived by his wife of 63 years, Adelia Golz of Princeton; daughter, Sharon (Orlo) Judas of Princeton; son, Gary (Diane) Golz of Madison; 4 grandchildren, Mark (Laurie) Judas, Tammie (Tim) Rodgers, Brian (Jenny) Golz, Cindy (Brian) Bahr; 6 great grandchildren, Collin and Courtney Rodgers, Alisha, Andy and Emma Golz, Mackenzie Bahr; 3 step great grandchildren, Melissa Burwick, Brandi and Katie Roberts; step great-great grandchild, Adelyne; 2 sisters-in-law, Isabelle Golz and Jean Golz; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Judy Trampf; brothers, Irwin, Norman and Robert.
A funeral service for Armand Golz will take place on Monday, April 20, at 11:30 a.m., with visitation starting at 9:30 a.m., at St. John's Lutheran Church in Princeton with Rev. Robert Pless officiating. Burial, with full military honors, will follow the service at the Memory Hill Cemetery in Princeton.
