John Phillip Mussler, six-year-old son of Edward and Margaret Diaz Mussler, of 27 Holmes Street, died suddenly in Southside Hospital on Monday after having been a patient there only a day. He was the victim of an intestinal ailment.
John was a pupil in the first grade of the Sayville elementary school.
Surviving besides his parents are a brother, Edward A. Mussler
Funeral services were held on Wednesday afternoon at the Isaacson Funeral Home, with the Rev. John Traynor officiating. Interment was in St. Lawrence's Cemetary. Members of the Sayville Juvenile Fire Department acted as pallbearers.
