Katharina's parents are Johann Friedrich Walther and Anna Regina ERHART. Born in Weisenbach, she married Georg Friedrich Schnepf, October 26, 1847, Creilsheim. They came to US in 1852. Her husband was naturalized in Wheeling, Ohio, Virginia, in 1857.

name can be found on some German records spelled Schnopf with umlat on letter O. Also, her maiden name is given as Walters on son Frederick's death certificate.
