Maslowski, Leon L (1 APR 1893 - 18 OCT 1918)

Mr. and Mrs. Simon Maslowski of the town of Reseberg, Clark County, Wis., received a telegram on Saturday last from the War Department announcing the death of their son, Leon L. Maslowski at a hospital in France from wounds received in action. The telegram states that the young man, who was about twenty-four years of age, died on Oct. 18, 1918. Deceased was a private and was a member of a Company of Infantry. Here he grew to manhood, attended our schools, and his death has cast a shadow over the whole community and every heart is touched with sympathy for the stricken ones, from whose fireside the light has fled. He died for his country. May he rest in peace.
