HUSEMANN - THIER
Double Wedding at Nazareth.
On September the 8th, a double wedding was solemnized in the quiet little colony of Nazareth, the contracting parties being Louis Husemann and Anna Thier, and John Husemann and Kathrina Thier. The ceremonies were performed by Rev. Joseph Reisdorff of the colony. The contracting parties represent the very best element in our community and have many friends to wish them peace and prosperity. A splendid festival took place at the home of Mrs. Thier, which lasted throughout the day and in which all the colonists participated freely. The father and uncles of the Husemann Brothers, who live at Lowell, Indiana, were present: also Joseph Doerr of Cleburne, Texas, and a fine time was had on the old prairie which, only a few years ago, was the dwelling place of the buffalo. Thus two more homes are added to the colony and four more hearts are happy. F. S. [Source: The Hereford Brand (Herford, Tex.), Vol. 4, No. 31, Ed. 1 Friday, September 16, 1904.]
