McPHERSON - Max Gradinger, 59, died Monday at McPherson Memorial Hospital after a sudden illness. Born March 21, 1916 at Mulberry, he married Verna R. Paulseen, April 23, 1947, at McPherson. He was vice-president of Swick-Guth Co., McPherson and lived here since 1929. He was a member of First Christian Church, McPherson, American Legion, VFW, Elks, Masons, Royal Arch Masons, Knight Templar, ISIS Shrine, McPherson Shrine Club and a World War II veteran.
Survivors include widow; mother and step-father: Mr. and Mrs. "Pat" Pattison, McPherson; step-brother: Eugene Pattison, Topeka; Wilbur Pattison, Harlan, Iowa; step-sister: Mrs. Rosemary Kasey, McPherson.
