Diane and Roger Rieger were blessed by Andrea's arrival on January 28, 1972, in Williston, ND. Their "princess" blessed their lives beyond comprehension. She was joined by her two adoring sisters and best friends, Tara and Jenna. They lived, shared, loved, and savored their lives together.

Andrea spent most of her growing up years in Browerville, MN where she greatly enjoyed her friends, music, dancing, cheerleading and learning. She excelled at everything she did. She graduated from high school in 1990 and was co-valedictorian of her class. Andrea graduated from the College of St. Benedict in Minnesota in 1994. Andrea had a great love of learning and a brilliant mind and continued to learn and study every day of her life.

In search of adventure and a free spirit always, Andrea went to Big Sky, MT after college and made it her home. This is where she met her husband, Greg. They were married on September 12, 1998 at Soldiers chapel.

Although always an exceptionally happy person, Andrea found the greatest joy and happiness in her beloved mountain home of Big Sky. She often said how lucky she felt to be living such a wonderful life. She was an avid outdoor woman, enjoying every outdoor activity and often commented how fortunate she was to be able to live somewhere where she could be "on vacation" every day.

Andrea taught us all so much about life and especially about LIVING! She had her moments in the valley, but the mountaintop is where her life was lived every day and in every way. She was intelligent, beautiful and gifted, and lived her life in such a way that most of us can only aspire to accomplish a small portion of what she accomplished in her brief 28 year sojourn on this earth. She was very, very loved. She was and always will be the best of what God has created. Her spirit soars and shines brightly and always will and we will never forget her.

Sadly, on March 20, 2000, Anthony Miller, 44, lost control of his vehicle and crashed head-on into a vehicle driven by Andrea Vaughn Rieger. She was dead at the scene. Her husband of 19 months, Greg, was a passenger in the car and sustained minor injuries.
