Freddy served his Country proudly and honorably stationed at Camp Lejeune North Carolina for over 30 years as a Master Gunnery Sergeant. During his time serving our great Country, he was determined that his family have a stable environment and they remained in Holly Ridge for all these years while he deployed all over the world.
He was preceded in death by his soul mate and loving wife, June Audrey Longo who went to be with the Lord on February 24, 2008.
Fred is survived by his children, Hope Wells of Fayetteville, Duane Longo and his wife, Glenda Murvin Longo of Hampstead, Scott Longo and his wife, Barbara Rowe Longo of Holly Ridge, Kim Longo Singleton and her husband, David Singleton of Holly Ridge, and Karen J. Longo Yates and her husband, Dane Yates of Sneads Ferry.
Grandpa is also survived by his eleven grandchildren, Tina Wells Seeley and her husband, Darren of Fayetteville, Curtis Wells of Fayetteville, Nicholas Longo of Hampstead, David Longo and his wife, Kara Saltz Longo of Surf City, Brandon Longo and his wife, Heidi Hudler Longo of Holly Ridge, Aaron Longo of Raleigh, Crystal Wells of Fayetteville, Camille Arnold and her fiancé, TJ Jones of Surf City, Cecily Arnold of Sneads Ferry, Kirsten Singleton of Holly Ridge and Avery Arnold of Sneads Ferry.
Gpa is also survived by his ten (soon to be twelve) great-grandchildren, Austin and Allicya Seeley of Fayetteville, Aerabella Longo of Holly Ridge, Tom Williams of Sneads Ferry, Aubrey Singleton of Holly Ridge, Avah June Longo of Surf City, Rhaegan Wells of Fayetteville, Alainah Jones of Surf City, Grace Williams of Sneads Ferry, and Harper Longo of Holly Ridge.
Also survived by his brothers, Joey Longo and his wife, Mary of Whiting, NJ, Peter Longo and his wife, Betty of West Orange, NJ and Anthony Longo and his wife, Mary of East Hanover, NJ.
Fred (Freddy) loved his family and wanted only the best for them. He was a continued supporter of the Homeless Shelters and the USO and many other volunteerorganizations. He loved to travel with his June across the country visiting all the Sea Worlds and Disneys. We will all miss him terribly and will see him again.
In lieu of flowers, Freddy will want you to spend time with your family enjoying them and not taking life for granted.
