"Married in Germany on May 22, 1881, Mr. & Mrs. Prull left their native land on the following day on a one-way honeymoon trip to America. They embarked at Baltimore, Maryland after sixteen days of ocean travel. They left Baltimore by train, traveling to Parkersburg, Iowa where Mr. Prull's brother, Gerhard and family, lived. After eleven years at Parkersburg, Mr. & Mrs. Prull, along with their three oldest children, George, Emma, and Mary, moved to Orthel Township, near Britt, where they had purchased a quarter section of land. William, the youngest, was born in Orthel Township."
