Funeral services for longtime Lamar resident, Lee J. Centner, will be held at 2 p.m. Sat. Dec. 7, 2013 at the Peacock Family Chapel in Lamar.
Pastor Manuel Tamez will officiate the service and burial will follow in the Fairmount Cemetery in Lamar.
Visitation for Lee will be held from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Fri. Dec. 6, 2013 and on Sat. Dec. 7, from 9 a.m. to service time at the Peacock Family Chapel.
Lee was born on Sept. 8, 1918 at Hartley, Iowa to Otto A. Centner and Minnie (Blom) Centner and departed this life on Sat. Nov. 30, 2013 at Pueblo, Colo. at the age of 95.
Lee was preceded in death by his wife – Lela E. Centner on Feb. 23, 2013; by one daughter, Pamela J. "Pam" Williams on March 8, 2009; by two sons-in-law, Jim Geisen and John Williams; by one brother, Bill Centner and one sister, Evelyn Esgar.
Lee is survived by two children, Rex (Sheri) Centner of Wiley, Colo. and Charlotte Geisen of Gilbert, Ariz.; by three grandchildren, Matt (Adrienne) Centner of Pueblo West, Colo.; Jim (Denise) Geisen of Chandler, Ariz.; and Denneen (Joe) McMurray of Canyon Country, Calif.; and by six great grandsons; also surviving are numerous other relatives and a host of friends.
