Delma Mae Cady, went to be with Jesus on November 22, 2013 at Golden Age Nursing Home, Guthrie Oklahoma. Delma was born on July 28, 1919 at Cambridge, Nebraska, one of 10 children born to Frank W. and Ida Adis (Rheinheimer) Cady.

Delma attended elementary school in the rural Cambridge, Nebraska area, graduating from Cambridge (NE.) High School with the class of 1936.

On October 19, 1936, she was united in marriage to Lloyd Arthur Hoerle. To this union two children were born: Kenneth "Kenny" and Patricia "Patty." The couple were at home on their ranch in rural Chambers, Nebraska until moving to O'Neill, Nebraska in the late 1970's.

Delma worked in the cafeteria at Chambers (NE.) Public School until they moved to O'Neill, Nebraska. She also worked part-time in the cafeteria at St. Anthony's Hospital for a number of years. In January 1986, Lloyd went to be with Jesus.

On September 2, 1989, Delma married Myrl Cady in Ainsworth, Nebraska. They resided in Ainsworth, Nebraska until Myrl's death in August 1996. In August 1996, due to ill health Delma went to live near her son in Arapahoe, Nebraska and then to Wood River, Nebraska. In 2006, her son was killed in a tragic accident and Delma moved to Guthrie, Oklahoma to be near her daughter and beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Delma was presceded in death by: parents; husbands, Lloyd Hoerle and Myrl Cady and son, Kenny Hoerle; brothers: Jimmy, Bud and Bob Cady and sisters: Ester Roberts, Lucille Henry, Ruth Weber, Maurine Rork, Frances Hoerle and Betty Decker.

Delma leaves to mourn her passing: daughter, Patty Backer of Allen, Texas; grandchildren: Scott Backer and his wife, Shannon of Bowie, Texas, Tricia Branson and her husband, Bruce, of Mulhall, Oklahoma and Chris Backer and his wife, Anna of Lucas, Texas; great-grandchildren: Stephen Dickson and Logan Backer of Crescent, Oklahoma, Christopher "Ty" and Colton Backer of Lucas, Texas; great-great grandson, Cooper Dickson of Crescent, Oklahoma and a host of relatives and friends.

Delma loved her family and the Lord so much. She always had a hug and a smile for everyone. She was very well known for her baking and home cooked meals. In later years, she and Myrl enjoyed traveling to their favorite places and visiting family and friends. Delma loved her grandchildren, teaching each one to play cards and making all their favorite foods. The last seven years of her life she resided at Golden Age Nursing Home, where she made a host of new friends and always had hugs and kisses for all who visited.
