Elda Zelt, 83, of Gladwin, died Wednesday, Nov. 4, 1998 at her home.
Born March 18, 1915 in Ft. Wayne, Ind., she was the daughter of Martin and Lona Kaiser Frosch.
Elda married Ernest Zelt, June 1, 1935 in Peru, ind. They came to Gladwin in 1947. He preceded her in death April 6, 1998.
Elda was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church and was the Hamilton Township clerk for 35 years.
Surviving are three daughters, Marilyn Cameron, Linda and husband Richard Esiline, all of Gladwin, and Judith and husband Terry Morse of Marquette; three sons, Donald and wife Sally, Vernon and wife Renee, and Larry and wife Mary Beth, all of Gladwin; one brother, Melvin and wife Carol Frosch of Ft. Wayne, Ind.; one sister, Irma and husband Arthur Kiefer of Ft. Wayne, Ind.; 24 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three sons, Harvey, Dennis, and Jake; son-in-law, Dean Cameron; and two sisters.
Services were held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Gladwin with Rev. Timothy Verity officiating. Burial was in Highland Cemetery, Gladwin. Memorials may be made to the Our Savior Lutheran Church building fund, MidMichigan Hospice or Hospice of Gladwin. Arrangements were in charge of Sisson Funeral Home in Gladwin.
