Gregory Lane Bounds Passed away June 13, 2006 at the age of 78. He is survived by his loving wife Bokhee and three sons, Timothy, Jeffery, and Delbert. The son of Lloyd James Bounds and Lorena Lane Bounds, he was born on December 20, 1928 in Lewiston, ID. His older brother Dale and younger sister, Sandra both predeceased Greg. He fondly remembered growing up in the farm lands of Idaho where he frequently rode his horse with the "gang." After graduating from preparatory school in 1946 he quickly enlisted into the Marine Corps. Greg chose this branch of the military because it had the shortest duration of enlistment required to receive the G.I. Bill. After an honorable discharge from the Marines, Greg enrolled in pre-law at the University of Gonzaga and graduated in 1950. While in law school at Northwestern University, School of Law he proudly worked as a special agent for the Oregon Board of Medical Examiners enforcing medical practice laws, and later became the manager of the school before graduating in 1954. When his schooling was completed Greg joined a firm as partner, and then later practiced as a solo practitioner in Portland, OR. He moved to California in the early 60s and helped revise the California Constitution from 1965 to 1970. His contribution to the constitution shaped the government California has today. He finished his career as an administrative law judge for the State of California and was president of the association from 1973-1974. Greg had an incredible personality and a sharp wit. He loved jazz, watching his Niners, playing cribbage, and fishing. He instilled fairness and kindness into the lives around him. He is loved and missed by all those whose lives he touched. There will be a small memorial service for close friends and family. Greg wanted any gifts or donations to be given to: American Civil Liberties Union, 125 Broad St., 18th Floor, New York, NY 10004-2400.
