Diane M. Bierbrauer, 52, of Plum City died at her home Wednesday December 31, 2003, following a courageous battle with cancer.

Diane was born February 11, 1951 in Plum City; a daughter of Lyle and Isabelle Johnson Hewitt.

She was a 1969 graduate of Plum City High School. Diane married Jerry Bierbrauer August 10, 1970 at St. John's Catholic Church, Plum City.

She worked for the Plum City School District, and had worked for Fairview Red Wing Medical Center for the past seven years.

Diane enjoyed fishing and spending time with her family. she was an active member of Plum City United Methodist church.

she is survived by her husband, Jerry Bierbrauer, Plum City; three children; LeAnn (Josh) Gross, Spring Valley, Minnesota, Eric Bierbrauer, Ellsworth, Emily Bierbrauer, LaCrosse, WI; plus one grandchild on the way; her parents, Lyle and Isabelle Hewitt, Plum city; two brothers, Charles (Theresa) Hewitt, Ellsworth, Dennis (Marlene) Hewitt, Plum city; her mother-in-law; nieces, nephews, other relatives and close friends.

Funeral services were held at 4:00 p.m. Saturday, January 3, 2004 at Plum City United Methodist Church with Rev. John Hazen officiating. Burial of her cremains will be at a later date in Union Cemetery, Plum City. Arrangements by Hill Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Ellsworth.
