William B. HUFFMAN, son of Richard and Charlotta HUFFMAN was born in Taylor Township, Greene County, December 8, 1860. He was married to Carrie BURCHAM on May 2, 1886. Three children came to bless their home, Frances, who preceded the father three months ago; Baby, who died when two and a half years old, and Russell, the only surviving child. He united with the M. E. church at Mineral City under the pastoral care of Rev. A. N. ELROD in 1891 and had lived faithful to his Savior, ever trusting in God for guidance and comfort. He had been the station agent for the Monon Railroad at Mineral for thirty-five years, from which company he received a gold medal when he had served twenty-five years, showing appreciation of his honesty, integrity and good business character while in their employment. He was a good neighbor and friend and was an exemplary member of the Odd Fellows order. He was a loving and kind parent and companion. He died at the Freeman hospital at Linton Sunday, January 12, 1919, where he had undergone an operation for appendicitis more than two weeks before.
