Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Brendan's Catholic Church, Brandon, with the Rev. Art Young officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Springvale.
Mrs. Hoodie died Wednesday, Nov. 6, 1985, at University Hospital, Madison.
She was born on March 27, 1913, in Reeds Corner, Town of Metomen, a daughter of Adam and Mary Sina Gruse. On Sept. 8, 1931, she was married to Harry Leonard Hoodie in Ripon, and he died on April 29, 1973.
The couple farmed in the Berlin, Brandon and Markesan areas. Mrs. Hoodie resided in Randolph before moving to Waupun in September. She was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Waupun, and St. Brendan's Catholic Church, Brandon. She was a former member of the Altar Society.
Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Gerald (Rita) Mielke of Markesan, Mrs. Virginia Robson of Sun Prairie, Mrs. Terrance (Regina Jean) Burk and Mrs. Richard (Sue) Bruesch, both of Waupun; one son, Harry of Brandon; 14 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; two step-sisters, Mrs. Violet Keller of Montana and Mrs. Leon Miller of Wautoma; one step-brother, Richard Sina of Minneapolis, Minn.; and her stepmother, Mrs. Verna Sina of Berlin.
She was preceded in death by one son, one brother and one step-brother.
