Alex Don Keeling a resident of Terral, Oklahoma passed from this life in Waurika, Oklahoma on Saturday, December 21, 2013 at the age of 80 years 9 months and 15 days. He was born in Banty, Oklahoma to James G. and Jennie V. (Marshall) Keeling on Monday, March 6, 1933. Alex married Glenna Sue Fitzer in Sherman, Texas on December 31, 1952.

Alex was a member of the Baptist Faith. He dedicated 20 years of his life as a teacher to students in the Junior High School in Terral, Oklahoma teaching Business, Drivers Education and coaching. Alex loved to Golf and he did so 5 days a week for 26 years. He enjoyed being outside hunting and fishing whenever he could.

Mr. Keeling is survived by his wife, Glenna Keeling; children, Marilyn Williams of Terral, Oklahoma, Donna Pickens and husband Michael of Ardmore, Oklahoma, Laquita Smart and husband Billy of Terrel, Oklahoma and Teresa Taylor of Durant, Oklahoma; brothers, Kenneth Keeling and wife Leigh of Durant, Oklahoma, Bill Keeling and wife Mary Lou of DeRider, Louisiana, Jerry Keeling and wife Linda of Sherman, Texas and Roy Keeling and wife Dorothy of Tooele, Utah; sisters, Gayla Dickson and husband Ray of Boswell, Oklahoma, Joyce Fuller and husband Billy Ray of Durant, Oklahoma and Carol Master and husband Gene of Durant, Oklahoma; five grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

Mr. Keeling was preceded in death by his parents, James and Jennie V. Keeling; brothers, Bob Keeling and infant brother James Marshall Keeling.

A Memorial Service in his honor will be held on Friday, January 3, 2014 a the Holmes Coffey Murray Chapel in Durant, Oklahoma with Rev. Ross Kirven officiating.
