Royal Carl Siebel, age 90, passed away on Sunday, Oct. 30, 2005. He was born on Oct. 6, 1915, in Orfordville, son of William and Anna (Trostem) Siebel. Royal married Mildred Croft on Jan. 27, 1940 in Evansville. They were residents of Madison, for 64 years, and they celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary this year. Royal worked for Oscar Mayer Foods for 40 years as a painter. He was a member of the Moose Lodge, Elks Lodge No. 410 and Trinity Lutheran Church. Royal was a loving and caring husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.

He is survived by his wife, Mildred; three children, Allen (Cynthia) Siebel of Fountain Hills, Ariz., Sandra (Carl) Wenzler of Lakeville, Minn., and Nancie (Michael) Freeborn of Barrington Hills, Ill.; nine grandchildren, Linda Roux, Michael Wenzler, Christopher, Nathan, Joel and Paul Freeborn, and Kimberly, Scott and Mark Siebel; five great-grandchildren, Jenna and Jessica Roux, Morgan and Carter Wenzler, and Andrew Freeborn. He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Donovan.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, Nov. 3, 2005 at 11 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church, 1904 Winnebago St., Madison, with the Rev. John Ruppenthal presiding. Entombment will follow in Roselawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be held on Thursday, Nov. 3, 2005, at 10 a.m. until the time of service at the church. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Trinity Lutheran Church.

He will be missed by his family and many friends and loved ones.
