Charles Edward was nicknamed "Chock" by his Alabama family and was called "Charlie" by his Wilhelm family. He married Iantha "Ann" Moore 25 October 1930 Clovis, New Mexico Curry County. They had two children; Wanda Lou Wilhelm - Little 1932-1997 and Kenneth Charles Wilhelm 27 January 1947 Dekalb Co. Alabama. He was in the Army during WW II in Europe. After the war he opened his own Gas Station at Ider, Alabama. His Grandfather was Theodore Wilhelm Memorial # 184-257-023 and Grandmother, Nancy Jane Quick-Wilhelm memorial # 184-267-049.
He died of a heart attack in Fort Payne, Alabama Dekalb County His grandchildren are; Freda Cheryl Little, Ann Elizabeth Little, Steve, Janet, Michael Dale Little and Kenny Wilhelm. His Greats are; Robert and Melissa Kotz, Steven Michael Little, Amy Elizabeth Dawson, Anissa , Tanner, and Conner Wilhelm and Jacob Lynn Bryant. His parents are, Otto Wilhelm (1871-1945) and Julia Ann Henderson Vinson-Wilhelm ( 1867-1936) both of Morrow, Arkansas Washington County. His great grandparents are, Rigdon Quick (1807-1879) and Mariah Newberry-Wilhelm (1811-1895) both of Pennsylvania. Charles Edward Wilhelm's siblings are; Eugene Edison Wilhelm, Bessie Jane Wilhelm-Brown, Carrie Mabel Wilhelm-Melson, Mamie Ethel Wilhelm-Tripp, the Rev. Clarence Theodore Wilhelm (1908-1964) and Homer Webster Wilhelm (1910-1955). His three step-siblings are, Mr. Hollie Alex Vinson (1886-), Georgie "Annie" Vinson-Hinson (1890-), and Mary Louise Vinson-Clary born in Perry County, Arkansas married Mr. Fred Clary on 9 September 1911 Arkansas. Charles Edward Wilhelm enlisted in WW II at Little Rock. Arkansas. United States Army Headquarters Battery 501 st Armored/Artillery Technician 5th Grade. Battlles were. Normandy, Central Europe, Northern France, and Ardennrs Rhineland. His medal are, (1) Good Conduct Metal, (2) European African Middle Eastern Service Medal with the Silver Star. and (3) The Bronze Star.
