Born in Italy, a son of the late Pasquale and Elizabeth (Cipalone) Rocchio, he came to Providence when he was eight years old, and had lived in Johnston since 1954. Mr. Rocchio also worked out of Union Hall, Local 57. He was a communicant of Our Lady of Grace Church.
Besides his wife, he leaves two daughters, Elizabeth Bryda of Providence and Carol Antonelli of Johnston; two sons, Pasco and John Rocchio, both of Johnston; 12 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren, and a great-great-grandson. He was the father of the late Michael Rocchio and the brother of the late Rose Pirraglia and Anthony Rocchio.
The funeral will be held Wednesday at 9 a.m. from the Nardolillo Funeral Home, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 in Our Lady of Grace Church, George Waterman Road. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
