Melchoir G. Budde, 84, rural Arpin, died of complications at his home at 9:10 p.m. Sunday.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at St. Francis Catholic Church in Arpin. The Rev. George Stashek, pastor, will officiate and burial will be made in Gate of Heaven cemetery here.
Visitations may be made at the Hansen Funeral Home beginning Wednesday noon. A general rosary service will be held there at 8 p.m. Wednesday.
Mr. Budde was born July 15, 1885, in Springbrook, Iowa, where he received his education, and was married Oct. 27, 1919, at Riceville, Iowa, to Grace Baird, who survives him.
After their marriage the couple moved to Neillsville where they operated a farm. Mr. Budde also was a livestock buyer there for 21 years. For the past 20 years the Arpin area has been their home. Mr. Budde was a member of St. Francis Catholic Church.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Urban (Dula) Zimmer, Algoma, Wis.; and two sisters, Mrs. Mary Capesius, Trent, S. D.; and Mrs. Cincia Feugen, Kimbell, S. D.
He was preceded in death by six brothers and two sisters.
