Goerlitz--January 6, 1973, Mr. Adam Goerlitz, aged 99 years, beloved father of Mrs. Alexander (Rachel) Dippel, Mr. Adam Thomas (Tom Goerlitz) and Mrs. Jacob Goerlitz, passed away at the General Hospital following a brief illness. He is survived by thirteen grandchildren and thirty-four great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife Katherine in 1918, also by a son John in 1958 and by a daughter Mary Krom in 1971. Born in Saratov, Russia he came to Canada in 1900 to DeWinton, Alberta, where he farmed until moving to Calgary in 1930. Mr. Goerlitz was a member of the Bridgeland Seventh-Day Adventist Church.
