Otto Andreae Seamans, Jr. served as a helicopter pilot in the United States Army, B Troop, 1st Squadron, 9th Cavalry Regiment of the 1st Cavalry Division. He was killed in action on May 18, 1967, when his OH-13S helicopter (tail number 63-09107) was struck by enemy small arms fire and crashed in the Quang Ngai Province I Corps in South Vietnam. He is honored on Panel 20E, Row 35 of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial.

Otto was a graduate of Virginia Beach High School. He attended the Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University where he was a member the Virginia Tech Corp of Cadets.

Otto left behind his parents, Otto A. Seamans, Sr. and Geneva Darden Seamans, and his aunts and uncles: Woodbury Seamans and Katherine Darden Seamans, Louise Darden Murden and Joeseph Murden, Alma Darden Bratten and John Maurice Bratten, Shirley Darden Jones and Casey Jones, Frank Darden, and James and Edith Darden.
