Pauline was the daughter of Clem Bernard Juergens and Philomena Mordhorsh. She married William Finnegan on 24 April 1917 in Carroll, Ia. They were the parents of Mae.


Feb 22, 1962 - Carroll Daily Times - Mrs. Pauline Finegan, 77, Carroll, died at 1:50 p.m.. Wednesday, Feb. 21, at St. Anthony Hospital, where she had been a patient for the past five weeks. She had been in failing health for about six months.

Requiem mass will be read at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 24, at St. Lawrence Church. The Very Rev. Msgr. Edward V. Vollmer will officiate and interment will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Friends may call at the Sharp Funeral Home after 7 p.m. Thursday. The rosary will be recited at 8 and 9 p.m. Thursday and at 3, 8 and 9 p.m. Friday.

Mrs. Finegan was born March 16, 1884, at Worthington, Ia., a daughter of Clem and Philomena Juergens, moving to Carroll with her parents. On April 24, 1917, she married William Finegan at SS. Peter and Paul Church, with the late Rev. Joseph M. Kuemper officiating at the nuptial mass.

They remained in Carroll after their marriage and Mr. Finegan died in 1951. Mrs. Finegan had made her home with her daughter, Mae Finegan, living at 620 North Carroll Street. She was a member of St. Lawrence Church and the Ladies Guild of the parish.

Surviving in addition to her daughter, Mae are a brother, John Juergens, who made his home with them; and three sisters, Mrs. Emma McDonough, Carroll; Mrs. Jack Tobin, Worthington; and Mrs. Frank Tobin, Farley.

Preceding Mrs. Finegan in death besides her husband were two brothers and three sisters.
