Nov of 1901 they traveled by ship from Hamburg Germany to New York with there 2 sons Conrad(John) and Johannes (who passed away shortly after arrival). The 1910 census finds them in Logan, Edwards Co Kansas with Lena and children Conrad(John) ,Henry,Katie,Alex and Peter. He was naturalized 24 May 1915. By the 1920 census their residence was Keysville,Pawnee Co Kansas and Wesley had been born. After Lena passed away he married widow Amelia "Mollie" Bender Deines. They lived in rural Ford Co Kansas and had moved into Dodge City shortly before his death in 1941.
