Peter Wagner, his wife and son, Henry, came from Saratov, Russia, in 1901, and first settled near Albert. While living here, two more sons were born to them, John and Charlie. In 1903, Peter Wagner moved to a farm he had purchased eleven miles north of Kinsley, just across the Edwards- Pawnee County line. In 1909, having purchased the adjoining quarter in Edwards County, he moved his home across the line into Edwards County, where he lived until he moved to Kinsley in 1928. Henry, John and Charlie had been farming nearby and continued to live in that area until their children were grown. They all reside in Kinsley now.
