Raymond I. Goralski, 72, of Dowd Avenue, Canton, died Friday (Oct. 4, 1996) at John Dempsey Hospital in Farmington. He was born July 31, 1924 in Warren, RI, son of the late Julian and Josephine (Plona) Goralski, and had lived in Avon for many years prior to moving to Canton ten years ago. He was a veteran of World War II, having served in the U.S. Army in the European Theater. Mr. Goralski was employed as a security guard at Mercer & Dunbar in Hartford for many years prior to his retirement. He is survived by a son, Ronald Goralski of Las Vegas, NV; two daughters, Sandy Goralski, and Diane Pearson, both of Modesto, CA; two brothers, William Goralski of Avon, Joseph Goralski of Burlington; five sisters, Julia Igoe of Westcliffe, CO, Genevieve Maramarco of Simsbury, Agnes Vincent of Collinsville, Mary Comeau of Canton, Rosemary DeSouza of Avon; five grandchildren, Michael and Jim Pearson, Tina, Shannon, and Heather Goralski. He was predeceased by a brother and two sisters, Henry Goralski, Stella Goralski, and Helen Capitani. Funeral service will be Monday (Oct. 7), 11 a.m., at the Vincent Funeral Home, 120 Albany Turnpike, Canton. Burial will be in St. Ann's Cemetery. Friends may call at the Vincent Funeral Home in Canton, Monday, 10-11 a.m. Memorial donations may be made to the Canton Memorial Ambulance Service, Inc., 51 River Road, Collinsville 06022.
