Donald Paul Bock, 51, of Sierra Vista, Arizona, passed away on Sunday, Jan. 12, 2014, at his home.
He was born on April 30, 1962, in Alton, Ill., to Helen and Donald Bock.
He lived in Sierra Vista for the past 49 years and was a graduate of Buena High School. He joined the Army in 1979 and served for three years as a 13B, field artillery crewman.
His many jobs included bartender, cook, radiator repairman, Kartchner Cavern Development welder, Patagonia Lake State Park Ranger, and bike-assembler at Target.
He was an avid sports fan, loving all sports, especially NASCAR, Arizona Wildcats basketball, Denver Broncos football, and St. Louis Cardinals and Arizona Diamondbacks baseball. He also loved the outdoors and loved to hunt and fish in the White Mountains.
He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Carol Bock; his daughter, Kacey Bock; his stepson, Chris Nelson (Shannon McDaniel); his stepdaughter, Kelly Clark (John Clark); and his grandchildren, Nevaeh Nicole Nelson, Marley Jade Nelson, John Logan Clark, Jaycee Lynn Clark and Jordyn Laine Clark.
He is also survived by his mother, Helen Bock; his father and stepmom, Don and Pat Bock; his sisters, Donna Sturm and Diana Oberlander (Eugene); brother, David (Dino) Bock; and many nieces, nephews, one great-nephew, and one great-niece.
Services and inurnment will be on Tuesday, Jan. 21, 2014, at 11 a.m. at the Southern Arizona Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
