CADIZ — Services for Janice Fay Benson "Jan" Allen, 58, Cadiz, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Northwest Baptist Church, Hopkinsville, with Kevin Randolph and the Rev. Randolph Allen officiating. Burial will be in East End Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 3 this afternoon at King's Funeral Home, Cadiz, and visitation Saturday will be at the church from 9:30 a.m. until time for the service.
She died at 10 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 5, 2005, at her home of natural causes.
A native of Christian County, she was born Nov. 5, 1946, the daughter of the late Martin Harris Benson and Virginia Mae Elliott Rawlins. She was a homemaker and a member of the Northwest Baptist Church where she was active in the Ladies Prayer Partners. Her adoptive parents, Joel Augustus and Etta Grace Elliott, preceded her in death.
Survivors include her husband, Dr. Randy Allen; three sons, Andy Allen, Cadiz, Jonathan and Joshua Perry Allen, both of the home; four daughters, Mrs. Ken (Joy) Stallons, Mrs. Rob (Georgia) McIntosh, both of Cadiz, Mrs. Chris (Margaret) Weatherspoon, Harrisburg, Ill., Virginia Fay Allen and nine grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the building fund at the Northwest Baptist Church, 2755 Princeton Road, Hopkinsville, Ky., 42240.
