Funeral services for Lydia Mahlmann Dockal, 94, of Richmond, are scheduled for 2 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 15, at Peace Lutheran Church, Radio Lane at Ave. I in Rosenberg. Officiating the service will be Rev. John Willmann. Burial will be at Greenlawn Cemetery in Rosenberg. Friends may call after 5 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 14, at Garmany & Carden Funeral Home, 1201 Fourth Street in Rosenberg.

Mrs. Dockal passed away on Thursday, Feb. 13, 1997, in Rosenberg. She was born on July 6, 1902 in Welcome. Her parents were George and Emma Mahlmann. She was baptized and confirmed at Salem Lutheran Church in Welcome. She married Emil Dockal on Oct. 15, 1924 and they moved to the Fort Bend County area in 1928. She was a charter member of Peace Lutheran Church.

She is survived by her son, Roger Dockal and his wife, Laverne, of Richmond; a daughter, Geraldine Linke and her husband, Nelson, of Rosenberg; grandchildren, Allen Dockal, Karen Miller and her husband, Glenn, Cynthia Jenkins and her husband, Jerry; great-grandchildren, Holly Dockal, Jason and Eric Miller, Amanda and Chelsea Jenkins; her brothers, Herman Mahlmann of Bleiblerville and Benny Mahlmann of New Wehdem.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Emil Dockal; her brothers, Ernest, George, and Willie Mahlmann; her sisters, Julia Thielemann, Elizabeth Weiss, Emma and Mary Tiemann, Frieda Rosenbaum, and Alice Peschel.

The family requests, in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made to Peace Lutheran Church in Rosenberg.

Services are under the direction of Garmany & Carden Funeral Direcrors, Inc., 1201 Fourth Street in Rosenberg, 281-341-4671.
