June 4, 1889 ~ July 28, 1964
Emilie was born June 4, 1889 in Beatrice, Nebraska to Wilhelm and Helene (Hamm) Penner.
She married Johann "John" Thimm, and they farmed on Route 1, Beatrice, Nebraska. World War I broke out, and in 1918, John had to register for the draft. All men of a certain age had to register, but not all were actually drafted. At that time he wrote on his draft registration that his nearest relative was Emmiline Thimm--which was Emilie.
Emilie and John were blessed with 5 children: Helen Wiebe, Erna Wiebe, Ruth Lichty, Elsie Penner, and John.
