Mr. Kuehl formerly owned and operated the Kuehl Funeral Home and Furniture Store, Gillett. He was a member of Calvary Lutheran Church, Green Bay; and a former member of Bethel Lutheran Church in the Township of Green Valley. He was a member of the Gillett Masonic Lodge No. 344 F.&A.M. He was also a member of Green Bay BEJA Shrine Temple. He was a member of the Green Bay and Oconto County Shrine Club.
Mr. Kuehl was a past charter member of the Oconto County Youth Fair, past charter member of the Gillett Civic Club and also a member of Gillett Fire Dept. and Gillett Industrial Development Corporation.
Mr. Kuehl was active in many activities while living in Gillett.
Survivors include his wife, Norma, Green Bay; two sons and daughters-in-law, Armin and Jerry Kuehl, Jim and Rita Kuehl, all of Gillett; three sisters, Mrs. Ethel Hidde, Gillett; Mrs. Jeanette Olson, Clearwater, Fla.; Mrs. Grace McElhoe, St. Petersburg, Fla.; one brother, Joseph Kuehl, Milwaukee; two granddaughters; five grandsons; one great grandchild.
One sister and one grandson preceded in death.
Friends may call at Kuehl Funeral Home, Gillett, from 3 to 9 p.m. Sunday and before services on Monday. Masonic services 8 p.m. Sunday. Funeral at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home with the Rev. Earl E. Vorpagel III officiating.
Burial in Wanderer's Rest Cemetery. A memorial fund has been established in his memory.
