Frank J. Kuehl, 74, Alice Dr., Green Bay, died Thursday at his home. He was born June 30, 1911 in Gillett to the late Joseph C. and Hulda (Foelker) Kuehl. He was a graduate of Gillett High School in 1929. In 1933 he graduated from Mortuary School in Milwaukee. He lived most of his lifetime in Gillett until he retired in 1967 and moved to Green Bay. He married Norma B. Larsen on Jan. 21, 1930.
Mr. Kuehl formerly owned and operated the Kuehl Funeral Home and Furniture Store, Gillett. He was a member of Calvary Lutheran Church, Green Bay; and a former member of Bethel Lutheran Church in the Township of Green Valley. He was a member of the Gillett Masonic Lodge No. 344 F.&A.M. He was also a member of Green Bay BEJA Shrine Temple. He was a member of the Green Bay and Oconto County Shrine Club.
Mr. Kuehl was a past charter member of the Oconto County Youth Fair, past charter member of the Gillett Civic Club and also a member of Gillett Fire Dept. and Gillett Industrial Development Corporation.
Mr. Kuehl was active in many activities while living in Gillett.
Survivors include his wife, Norma, Green Bay; two sons and daughters-in-law, Armin and Jerry Kuehl, Jim and Rita Kuehl, all of Gillett; three sisters, Mrs. Ethel Hidde, Gillett; Mrs. Jeanette Olson, Clearwater, Fla.; Mrs. Grace McElhoe, St. Petersburg, Fla.; one brother, Joseph Kuehl, Milwaukee; two granddaughters; five grandsons; one great grandchild.
One sister and one grandson preceded in death.
Friends may call at Kuehl Funeral Home, Gillett, from 3 to 9 p.m. Sunday and before services on Monday. Masonic services 8 p.m. Sunday. Funeral at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home with the Rev. Earl E. Vorpagel III officiating.
Burial in Wanderer's Rest Cemetery. A memorial fund has been established in his memory.
