SUBLIMITY - Marvin, 91, died August 16 in Sublimity. He was born in Ryegate, MT., and has lived in Sublimity for many years. He served in the US Army during WWII.

Marvin retired from the Army National Guard in Salem as an auditor after 32 years. He was a member of the Elks, Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation, Oregon Hunters Association, National Rifle Association, and a life member of the Four Corners Rod & Gun Club. Marvin enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, gardening, and traveling, especially to Reno.

He married Rosina Hartmann on November 27, 1942 in Olympia, WA., she preceded him in death on July 11, 2012. Marvin is survived by children: Rose (Gary) Witmer of Keizer, Marvelene (Joseph) Gross of St. Helens, Ron (Rosanne) Harksen of Sublimity, Roxanne Harksen of Stayton and Michelle (Ron) Wanner of Seaside; sister: Margie Merchant of Neosho, MO.; 19 - grandchildren; 29 - great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson. He was preceded in death by 2 brothers and 1 sister.

Recitation of Rosary will be Friday, August 23, 2013 at 11:00 am followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 am both at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Sublimity. Interment will be in St. Boniface Cemetery, Sublimity. Contributions may be made to Regis High School. Serving the family, North Santiam Funeral Service, Stayton. Mom and Dad together again. We love and miss you both. Forever and always. XOXO
