Virgil, Feb. 3. - Mr. and Mrs. Willis Hammond and mother, Mrs. Hammond, Mr. and Mrs. Bert Woodard, Mr. and Mrs. William Seamans, Mr. and Mrs. F.D. Seamans and son Fred, Mr. and Mrs. M.L. Sheerar , Mr. and Mrs. Harmon Sheerar, Mr. and Mrs. E.D. Ryan, Mr. Hilton Ryan and Mr. Darius Allen were in Cortland Monday to attend the funeral of Mr. Henry Luce of this place who died at the home of Floyd Woodard's on Owego-st., Cortland, Saturday a.m. at the age of 73 years. Mr. Luce was the son of Martin Luce and Catharine D. Luce. One brother survives him, Mr. Niles D. Luce of Rochester, N.Y. Rev. A.S. Anderson conducted the service. Interment in Cortland cemetery.
