"Funeral services for Paul Edward Mower Tiesing, who died in Baltimore, Md., Monday, November 15 were held in Baltimore Tuesday, November 16. Mr. Tiesing was born April 22, 1895, in the home at 51 Bishop street, New Haven, where the family has resided for 50 years, He was the only son of Edward John Tiesing, son of the late Captain Frank Tiesing and Mrs. Teising, now residing in Milford, and Annie Elizabeth Mower Tiesing of Milford, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Erastus Samuel Mower.

Mr. Tiesing died at Johns Hopkins hospital following a surgical operation. He was a student at the Johns Hopkins University where he expected to take a four years' course in surgery, having graduated from Yale last June. On the casket his classmates, who attended the funeral in a body, placed the inscription: "Paul Edward Mower Tiesing of New Haven, Conn. a student at Johns Hopkins University of Baltimore, Md. Beloved by all who knew him. Classmates." Many beautiful floral tributes were received from friends in Hartford, Baltimore, New Haven, New York and Windsor, VT where the interment took place on Wednesday, November 17."
