HELMES RITES ON THURSDAY

Graveside services for Mrs. Rose Helmes, 88, of Barney road, Traverse City, R. 3, will be held at 9:30 a.m. Thursday at Grand Traverse Memorial Gardens, Rev. Fr. John P. LaGoe officiating. Mrs. Helmes died Tuesday morning at Munson Medical Center in Traverse City after an illness of two months.

She was born June 2, 1876 at Louisville, Ky., and had lived at Cincinnati, O., before moving to Traverse City five years ago to make her home with a niece, Mrs. Edward Zimmerman. Mrs. Helmes was a member of St. Martin's Catholic Church in Cincinnati. Her husband John G. Helmes died in 1931.

Surviving are a son, George of Dayton, O.; three step-daughters, Mrs. Clifford Schoenberger, and Mrs. Frank Koch, both of Cincinnati, and Mrs. George Graves of Lexington, Ky.; several grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. E.A. Lippert of Salisbury, N.C.; Mrs. Zimmerman and other nieces and nephews.
