MRS. CARRIE MARIA SCHMELING -- 81, of 23 W 13th St., died at 1:05 p.m. Tuesday at St. Agnes Hospital where she had been a patient for one month.

The daughter of Charles and Marie Rochel Michael was born Oct. 1, 1885, in Fond du Lac. She was married to Charles F. Schmeling Sept. 12, 1905. He died in 1935. Mrs. Schmeling has no immediate relatives. She was preceded in death by a son in 1957.

A member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Mrs. Schmeling had resided in Brownsville, moving to Fond du Lac in 1950.

Friends may call after 7 p.m. today at the Bidlingmaier Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, Rev. G. J. Ehlert officiating. Burial will be in St. Paul’s Lutheran Cemetery, Brownsville.

MRS. CARRIE SCHMELING -- Funeral services for Mrs. Carrie Schmeling, who died Tuesday, were held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Bidlingmaier funeral Home, Rev. Gerhard Ehlert officiating.

Mrs. Donald Henke was organist for the service. Burial was in St. Paul’s Lutheran Church Cemetery, Brownsville.

Pallbearers were Bruno Luethy, Harold Westphal, Norbert Rochel, Myron Raasch, Bert Guenther and Raymond Kuen.
