Laura Cora (Wolf) Sweisfort Piston, 89, of Rig, WV and formerly of Red Hill, passed away on Thursday, July 11, 2013. She was the wife of the late Milton Roy Sweisfort and the late Merrill C. Piston.

Born in Quakertown, PA, she was a daughter of the late Jessiah and Ella (Heimbach) Wolf.

Laura was a lifelong member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Sumneytown, where she was active in WAG. She was also a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Red Hill Fire Co.

Laura loved to be outdoors, fishing, enjoyed flowers, playing cards and dice games, traveling and doing the Mom-Mom shuffle!

Surviving are her children, Georgette "Woody", wife of Alden Riggelman of Rig, WV and George M. Sweisfort of Red Hill; step daughters, Nancy, wife of Harry Schwoyer of Lansdale and Carol Swanson of Telford; sister, Carrie, wife of Tex Eppler, Pennsburg; 12 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by siblings, Claude, Irvin and Charles Wolf, Verna Leister, Viola Mest and Edna Cressman; and a grandson, Kolby Glass.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, July 20, 2013 from the Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home, 222 Washington Street, East Greenville, PA 18041 with Rev. Rebecca Eisenhart officiating. Burial will follow in Fredien's Union Cemetery, Sumneytown, PA. There will be a viewing from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm Friday and 10:00 until 11:00 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
