John & Mary (Zern) Winters were natives of Wurttemberg Germany who came to America in 1832 and located in Williamsport. They removed to Upper Fairfield Township where they cleared and improved two farms. They were members of the Evangelical Church. Their children were as follows: Barbara who married Abraham Neff, Christiana, John, Mary, Martha who married James Harrington, Martin, Harriet who married Jonathan Neff, Jacob, Frederick and Abraham.
