Mr. Brandt was born Sept. 29, 1921, at Jud, N.D., the son of Richard and Bertha Brandt. They later moved to Adrian, N.D. He received his education in a one-room schoolhouse at rural Adrian.
He married Norma Liedahl of Marion, N.D. They farmed with his parents until they moved to Motley, Minn., where he worked at the Motley Creamery and later at the Morey Fish Co. for many years. She died in 1978.
He later lived in Goodland, Minn., and Nashwauk, Minn., before entering the nursing home.
He is survived by a son, Terry Donald, Stacy, Minn.; two sisters-in-law, Mattie (Spencer) Brandt, Jamestown, and Lillian (Carl) Brandt, Staples, Minn.; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, wife, five sisters and two brothers.
Services: 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Casino Assembly of God Church, Pillage, Minn.
Burial: Motley Cemetery, Motley.
