F.J. HOUSTON.
Funeral services for F.J. Houston, 79-year-old retired farmer and a pioneer of Bossier parish, who died Friday, will be held at the family residence, 2421 Greenwood road, Saturday afternoon at 1 o'clock, after which the body will be taken by Wellman Undertaking company's hearse to Minden for interment. Surviving deceased are his wife and several children.

Mr. F. James Houston, of Shreveport, died at his home February 1st, after a long illness of heart trouble. Funeral services were held Saturday, February 2 at the Minden Cemetery. Rev. L. I. McCain, pastor of First Methodist church of Minden, assisted by Rev. Kleinsmith, pastor of Mangrem Memorial Methodist Church of Shreveport and Rev. D.C. Tindell, pastor of Jewella Christian church of Shreveport, conducted the services.
Mr. Houston was a faithful member of the Mangrem Memorial Methodist church of Shreveport. Mr. Houston was well known and has scores of friends here as well as in Shreveport. Short funeral services were held at the home in Shreveport Saturday morning.
Besides the widow, Mrs. Mary Bush Houston, the following children survive Miss Nena Houston and Miss Rosa Houston of Shreveport, Mrs. Nancy Houston Whiteside of Minden; J.W. Houston of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Robert Houston of Beaumont, Texas; Jene Houston of Minden; and one uncle, Mr. Billie Houston of Arcadia.
Flowers in all their beauty and fragrance covered the sacred mound and deepest sympathy went out to the grief stricken family in this sad bereavement.
