DELHI - Funeral services for Herman "Red" Armstrong, 84, were held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, May 10, 1997, at Cox Chapel with Rev. Bonita Davis officiating.

Burial followed in Delhi Masonic Cemetery in Delhi under the direction of Cox Funeral Home.

Mr. Armstrong died Thursday, May 8, 1997, at Richland Parish Hospital in Delhi.

Mr. Armstrong was a resident of Delhi, Louisiana. He served in the United States Navy and had worked as a switcher gauger in the petroleum industry.

He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Chapman Armstrong of Delhi; two stepsons, Stanley Grube of West Monroe and Don Grube of Charleston, South Carolina; eight grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Mr. Armstrong was preceded in death by his parents, John and Charlotte Stout Armstrong.

Pallbearers were Larry T. Holley, Virdell Lingefelt, Claude Hosea, Bernard Duchesne, James F. Bullock, Joel R. Wilson, William H. Omary and Bob Mikell.
