Lee D. Boehm, 69, Marathon, died Saturday, February 22, 2014 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital.He was born on October 8, 1944 in Wausau, the son of Mary (Lang) Boehm and the late Leon Boehm.

On June 23, 1965, he married Alice Prihoda at St. Mary Catholic Church in Marathon. She survives.Lee was the owner and operator of Lee's Hardware in Marathon for 30 years. He was a member of the Marathon Fire Department for 30 years, 25 of those years he served as Fire Chief. Among his favorite pastimes, he enjoyed woodworking and fishing.

Survivors include, his wife of 48 years, Alice Boehm, Marathon; his mother, Mary Boehm, Wausau; four children, Ann Mueller, Castle Rock, CO, Brian (Lisa) Boehm, Marathon, Christine (Larry) Heise, Edgar and Neil (Amy) Boehm, Allegan, MI; 11 grandchildren, Christian Mueller, Jordan, Alexandra and Elizabeth Boehm, Joseph, Tara and Kristin Duberstein, Madison and Kyla Heise, Zachary and Benjamin Boehm; four sisters, Sister Diane Boehm FSPA, Eau Claire, Mary Ellen Schreiber (special friend, Alvin) Minnesota, Lynn Wiesman, Green Bay and Connie (John) Bresson, Plano, TX; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

The funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Mary Catholic Church, Marathon. Rev. Robert Thorn will preside.

Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
