Rose E. Frickel was born on August 10, 1920 in Stuart, Nebraska to Joseph and Rose (Vinzenz) Laible. Rose passed away February 4, 2014.

Rose attended rural school near Stuart and later attended St. Boniface Catholic school. She married Edwin Straka on September 10, 1945 to this union three children were born. Edwin passed away on October 15, 1953. She then married Alex Frickel on September 16, 1957 in Atkinson, Nebraska. To this union seven children were born. They lived north of Atkinson, Nebraska on the Frickel homestead. Alex passed away on April 29, 1984. Rose loved to raise flowers and garden, cooking and canned everything she raised in the garden for her family. In earlier years she cane pole fished, played cards and sewed.

Rose loved traveling and with Alex went on numerous trips to
such places as Florida and Hawaii. She even went to Rome a couple of times once with family members. Rose was a member of St. Joseph's Altar Society and the American Legion Auxiliary.

Rose was preceded in death by: parents; 1st husband, Edwin Straka; 2nd husband, Alex Frickel; Infant son; infant daughter and brothers Felix and Rudy Laible.

Interment was in St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery, Atkinson, Nebraska.
