In November, 1844, Asa published an advertisement in several Vermont newspapers offering his Farm in the southwest part of Londonderry for sale. The farm was 96 acres, and included hay vields, pastures, woodland, "a large and handsome interval." The farm also offered 300-400 maple trees, an orchard, a 30X 40 foot one and a half story house, and a barn.
