WADE -- George Perry Floyd, 53, of 5401 Wade-Stedman Road, died Tuesday, Oct. 8, 2002, in Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in Fayetteville.

The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday in First Missionary Baptist Church in Roseboro by the Rev. John T. Oliver. Burial will be in Sandy Grove Freewill Baptist Church cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by Dafford Funeral Home of Dunn.

Mr. Floyd is survived by his wife, Evangelist Ruby Floyd of the home; five sons, Perry J. Floyd of Houston, Terrance Floyd of New York, Deldrick Carter of the home, and Bobby Carter and Adrian Carter, both of Fayetteville; five daughters, Zsa-Zsa Floyd and LaTonya Floyd, both of Houston, Bridgette Floyd of Clinton, and Camisha Carter and Constance Carter, both of the home; his mother, Argether Floyd of Clinton; five brothers, Wendell Floyd of Autryville, Henry "Cliff" Floyd of Spring Valley, N.Y., William "Roger" Floyd of Raleigh and Lucious "Ike" Floyd of Roseboro; three sisters, Annie McLaurin and Ella Bannerman, both of Roseboro, and Evelyn Simmons of Clinton; and several grandchildren.
