Arthur Millar, 53, Summoned By Death
Arthur Millar, 53, a native of Lewiston, died yesterday morning at his home at 512 5th Ave. Death was due to a heart attack. He was found at the foot of the stairway by his mother, Mrs. Bertha Muench, at 6 last night.
Mrs. Muench, who is ill, got out of bed to investigate her son's absence, since a fire had not been built. Coroner Andrew Vassar, who investigated, said it was evident Millar had been dead since morning.
Millar was born at Lewiston Feb. 9, 1896. He was a veteran of World war I and saw service in France with the army. He worked for many years as a bicycle repairman at the Reed Cycle shop until ill health forced his retirement.
He is survived by his mother, his stepfather Peter Muench, a half-sister, Mrs. Marie Stevens, Spokane; and a brother, Lawrence, Spokane.
The body is at Brower-Wann funeral home, with arrangements pending.
